Movies that stay with us believe in complete romance that ends up being ridiculous with couples promising to love each other forever. While those stories give us something to hope for, relationship films are broken, ineffective and leave a scar in the minds of listeners for years. Malcolm and Marie Director Sam Levinson, who will start airing tomorrow on Netflix, seem to be in the latest category as the trailer says ‘this is not a love story’ but a ‘love story’.

They are both traumatized, and they soon learn that love is not all they need to live a happy life.

Vanessa Kirby and Shia LaBeouf-starrer follow Martha and Sean as they prepare to adopt their first child. After a traumatic event at home, the couple begin to fall apart as they find each other emotionally available. Martha wraps herself in her pain, while Sean backs away and starts taking drugs again. Their relationship collapsed when Sean attacked Martha.
4. Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind (Google Play Store)
Joel and Clementine had an awkward relationship, and after a bitter breakup, Clementine decided she wanted to erase all the memories associated with Joel. Joel decides to do the same, but as the process progresses, he begins to see the love they have for each other and wants to improve the process. But it may be too late to bring him back. The wife tells the story of a respected ‘author’ with his wife. Like any modern-day couple, one of them feels a little weird, and the other feels awkward being free to do as he pleases. Although they love each other, they separate but continue to live in the same house as it is yet to be sold.
