Rajkummar Rao on being thrown out of films because a star wanted to do it: ‘You just move on’

Three years after the release of the highly successful Stree, Rajkummar Rao returns to the scene of the horror comedy with Roohi, and expects a lot from it. However, he concluded that apart from the genre, there is no similarity between the two films.

“The world is a different place. My only thing is, people really like Stree and know Vicky very well, so I wanted to make the Bawra very different from Vicky. I gave him a different look and pattern of speech. But the fun is exactly the same, so I hope people come and enjoy this the way Stree enjoyed it, ”he told the Hindustan Times.

Roohi impersonates Rajkummar in relation to Janhvi Kapoor, who once admitted to ‘taking her eyes off’ and sending her messages on social media. Asked if they laughed well about the set, he said, “No, we didn’t talk about it honestly.”

He added saying that but Janhvi is a very determined actor and has done a great job in Roohi. The good thing about him, they have seen his growth with the whole film, from Dhadak to Gunjan and then to Roohi. He also added saying that it’s always fun when you have an actor who works well with you because that makes the film even better.

Although Roohi is the first major film to be released after theaters were allowed to work full time, Rajkummar is not too concerned about the audience’s response to it. “I know what kind of theater is done to make people feel more secure when they go to the movies.

People are also really waiting for something to appear on the big screen now. Watching a movie on a big screen in a dark arena is another thing. And a film like that of Roohi is meant to be watched by the audience because you want to laugh and feel scared of everyone around you. He said that he thinks it will be a different and exciting thing for people to watch in theaters.

From the struggle with at least ₹ 18 left in his bank account after paying rent and other expenses to the Bollywood star, Rajkummar is far away. He described his trip as ‘very good’. “I think all of this happened because of my mother’s blessings. He said that he was the one who had great faith in him.

Whenever I called him, he would tell me, ‘Don’t worry, just keep working hard. Eventually everything will be fine. ‘Now I can see what he was seeing at the time. Thank you very much and I feel very grateful, ”he said.

Rajkummar, in the past, also talked about ‘expulsion’ from films because someone with a greater influence was looking at this role. But she has no strong feelings about it. “You just keep going. You just hear, ‘Maybe, it’s not in my creation.’ I’m such a cool person, I don’t keep anything in my heart. I’m just moving on. I firmly believe that there is enough work for everyone and that what is intended for me will always be there for me, ”he said.

Post Roohi, Rajkummar will star in Badhaai Do, in relation to Bhumi Pednekar. Without revealing much details about the film, she said, “The only thing I can tell you is that it is based on the lavender wedding of these two people, Sumi and Shardul, played by Bhumi. It is very interesting and talked about the most important thing in society in modern times. Thier director who is Harshvardhan Kulkarni, is a force to be reckoned with and that she is amazing.
