Bollywood actor and BJP MP from Gurdaspur, Sunny Deol has tested positive for Covid on 1st December 2020 as stated by the Himachal Pradesh health secretary. He has been staying in Kullu for past few days, Health Secretary Amitabh Awasthi said.
This Bollywood actor had undergone through the shoulder surgery and was recovering at a farmhouse near Manali. PTI reported that the actor had planned to leave for Mumbai when he received his COVID test. He was staying with his friends in Manali.
His team says that his health is currently stable and he will be isolating himself in Manali until he recovers as advised by Doctors. He is following all the guidance given by the authorities and is also taking necessary precautions.
He wrote a tweet stating that he got myself tested for corona and that his report is positive. He said that he was in isolation and that his health is fine now. He requested all those who came in his contact recently to get themselves tested and to stay in isolation On Wednesday morning, the actor wrote on his Facebook page that he is doing well.
Dr Ranjit Thakur, Block Medical Officer at Nagar said that the sample of the actor was taken along with the three other associates. Two of the samples were found positive, while the two others were inconclusive. He said that better medical care would be provided to the actor and the health staff would monitor his health daily.
On 30 Nov, he shared a teaser where he will be seen alongside his father Dharmendra and brother Bobby Deol and son Karan Deol in the sequel for 2007 family drama – “Apne” which was a great hit back then, directed by Anil Sharma, the second instalment of the film will be produced by Deepak Mukut. The film will set on floors in March 2021 and will release by around Diwali 2021.

Sunny Deol, on Monday, took to Twitter, to announce the film saying – “Babaji ke aashirwaad aur aapke pyaar ki wajah se aaj hum vapas ek sath nazar aayenge.” He also said that he was feeling blessed to get a chance to work with his father, brother again this time with his son. #Apne2, in cinemas Diwali 2021,” he wrote.
The second instalment of the film has been in the works since some time and now the entire script is in place and is almost ready.
Keeping the great essence and values of the first film, Apne 2 takes the original engaging story many notches higher in its action, drama, emotions, and entertainment with new characters being added in.
The actors and team members will start the shooting from March next year, in Punjab and Europe and the family entertaining sports drama is being readied for a grand release on Diwali 2021.
