Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged people to be vaccinated to protect themselves from coronavirus and not to fall victim to rumors. In his monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister said India had achieved a difference in vaccinating millions in one day and it was important to address the drug skepticism, based on rumors.
Addressing residents of Madhya Pradesh’s Betul, the Prime Minister said more than 310 million beneficiaries in the country have taken the drug so far. He gave his example by saying that he had taken doses of vaccine as well as his mother who had almost a hundred. The Prime Minister also made an example of Bandipora in Kashmir where almost all of them were vaccinated in the Weyun district. According to the union health department’s portal on Sunday afternoon, 321,760,077 or more than 321 million vaccines have been introduced so far across the country.
“Our war with Corona continues and together with this war we are building a new record. In the last few days our country has done something unprecedented; on June 21 as part of the next vaccination phase, we vaccinated 86 lakh people in one day. The free immunization campaign is done in one day, ”he said, referring to the fact that no country other than China has been able to vaccinate so many people a day. The chairman of the Covid-19 vaccine group in India, Dr NK Arora, said the aim was to stab about 10 million people in one day in August.
On Saturday the Prime Minister reviewed the government’s response to the epidemic and expressed satisfaction with the immunization rate. After the expected third wave, he ordered the expansion to be expanded with the help of NGOs, his office said.
Speaking about a mass vaccination campaign involving those over the age of 18, the Prime Minister said last year people wanted to know when the vaccines would come. He said that today they offer millions of shots in a single day. This is the power of the new India. To ensure the safe goals of every citizen we make endless efforts in many areas to dispel drug doubts.
The Prime Minister also urged the people not to compromise.
He also said that It is a disease in which the virus is constantly changing. Don’t believe anyone who says the epidemic is over. We also have two ways to save ourselves, the first is to wear a mask and follow the corona rule and the second is to take the vaccine.
He said people should listen to scientists and doctors and not to those who spread rumors. “Stay away from rumors and make sure [people] in the villages take the injection; not only in your village but also in the villages around you, ”he told a Bethel resident on the radio.
Commenting on the steps taken in the valleys to comply with Covid’s policy, he said the wisdom and strength shown by local people and communities during the epidemic would be lessons to come in the future. “Villagers set up segregation centers based on local needs and adhere to Covid’s principles. They did not let anyone go hungry, they continued their agricultural work … and they did not allow the supply of goods to be affected. .
The Prime Minister also urged the people to take steps to save rainwater and said it would not only address current needs, but also important for future generations. Water conservation is a key government program that aims to provide water connectivity to all households by 2024.
He said that ask yourself the question, everyone wants to succeed, but what is a mantra? The mantra is immutable. Monsoon time has come and when it rains, it is not only for us but for future generations. Rainwater replenishes and improves groundwater levels so it is important to conserve and harvest rainwater. It is a way of working for the nation.
