Modi also praised the technology and start-up sectors of the country. He said this while delivering his keynote address at the fifth VivaTech Summit on Wednesday evening.
Modi said in a statement that he calls on the world to invest in India according to the five pillars of: Talent, Market, Capital, Eco-system and, Culture of openness, confirming that the country provides what the founders and investors need.
“India’s advances in technology and innovation are well known. Our nation is home to one of the world’s largest eco-initiation initiatives. Several unicorns have appeared in recent years. India’s talented talent pool is world famous. The youth of India have provided technological solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems, ”he added.
Congratulating the organizers of the event, Modi said the stadium reflects “a technological vision of France.” He also named technology and digital as two growing areas of cooperation with France among many different topics. “Many young people have seen the French Open with great enthusiasm. One of India’s technology companies, Infosys has provided technical support for the competition. Similarly, French Company Atos is involved in a project to make a fast-paced computer in India. Whether it’s Capgemini of France or TCS of India and Wipro, our IT talent works for companies and citizens around the world, ”said Modi.
In support of his investment call, Modi pointed out that digital expansion is empowered by building state-of-the-art public infrastructure in India. Commenting on the emergence of public wifi networks across the country, Modi said 523,000km fiber optic cables connect 156,000 national councils across the country. He added saying that India is also working hard to develop a culture of innovation. There are state-of-the-art new labs at 7,500 schools under the Atal Innovation Mission.
VivaTech, which takes place in Paris every year, is a digital and start-up event in Europe, co-hosted by Publicis Groupe, a well-known advertising and marketing group, and Les Echos, France’s leading media group. Modi has been invited as a guest speaker at this year’s event, his office (PMO) said on Tuesday. He spoke at the event which was probably attended by French President Emmanuel Macron.
