North East And Goa Share A Goal Each In Yesterday’s ISL Match

ISL Match: Yesterday was the tenth day of this year’s Indian Super League.  North East United FC and Goa FC went face to face in this match. Both teams scored a goal each in this match. Both the goals were scored during the last leg of the first half. North East took the lead by scoring the first goal but Goa quickly equaled the score.

Goa FC were looking to register their first win in this year’s edition of the eminent football tournament. NEUFC were on the other hand looking to go to the top of the table.

Goa’s coach Juan Ferrando had set up a 4-3-1-2 formation while NEUFC’s Gerard Nus organized a 4-3-3 formation for his team.

In the first half itself, Goa had 70 percent of the ball possession while in the second half, NEUFC had a good attacking mindset which they continued throughout the half. Despite having the maximum ball possession, Goa could manage only two on the target while the opponent team had three.

Britto PM hit a cross from the right which had Idrissa Sylla inside the box. He was prepared for this as he chested the ball down, then took a touch. But he was brought down by Provat Lakra from the back. Seeing this. the referee pointed the kick spot. Syllaa scored but again the referee saw Lalrempuia Fanai , who was charging forward and directed to retake thye spot back. Inspire of all the chaos, Sylla kept his mind cool and scored a goal in the fortieth minute.

But their celebrations couldn’t continue for long as Goa FC  levelled the score within just three minutes. Brandon Fernandes came up from the left with some classy twisting and turning. His cross was well directed as it reached Igor Angulo who efficiently directed it into the net. With this goal, the brilliant striker from the GOA FC team registered his third goal for the season. This calmed GOA FC’s nerves to some extent as they had been looking for their first win for the season. AS per ISL Match.

In the second half, both the teams tried their best to score a goal. Goa tried their level best but the highlanders team held their nerves till the last second. This ensured that both teams got one point each at the end of the match. NEUFC will be happy with their one point while GOA FC will have to wait for their first win of the season.

Both the coaches of the teams had an argument off the field which resulted in them getting yellow cards in the seventy-eight minute of the match.

All in all, it was a very entertaining tenth day of the tournament. Both teams played fair football which gave football lovers a treat to watch this ISL Match on screen.

It was a pretty tight ISL Match as both teams tried their best to score goals in the second half of the match. The coaches of both the teams had an intense argument in the latter half of the second half which resulted in them getting yellow cards.
