The great Engineering and construction company – Larsen & Toubro (which is commonly known as L&T) is now looking forward to recruit around 1,100 graduate and the post graduate engineer trainees for the year 2021. The company also said that they will position them across various business fields. The company has already made around 250 offers in the recent hiring that was through its ongoing virtual hiring process. The hiring session was done at premium education institutes like the IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, , IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and many other IITs.
S N Subrahmanyam who is the chief executive of the company and also the managing director said that the L&T company not only offers the Graduate and Post Graduate Engineer Trainees but it also offers the continuous learning opportunities and a growth path for them. It also gives them immense satisfaction to work on various different projects that are high on the top of national or global pecking order.
He said that in the year 2021, the company is planning to hire near to about 1,100 engineers and that it has already made offers it’s to 250 different IITians. The company said that every year it recruits around 1,100 plus engineers, and the 90 per cent of which belongs to the institutions like the IITs, NITs, and also from the top government engineering colleges.
Subrahmanyan said that during the company has kept it’s momentum even during this pandemic year and that they are hiring from best of the institutes. They have also introduced its internally built online hiring platform in order to felicitate 100 per cent remote recruitment.
Subhrahmanyan added saying that the Graduate Engineer Training programme has got several leaders who are serving in leadership positions at the company. This programme is best known for its selection rigour and that it has very high aspirational value from among the best campuses that are present across the country.
The entire hiring process will be done digitally and remotely for the L&T, it will also include the testing process that will be conducted with the help of remote proctoring tool, it is the tool that will be monitoring the test that are based on the 14 parameters. The platform that is being used for hiring has been developed internally by the company.
The company said that their hired talent will be put to an internal developed induction program for around three weeks.
There is also an opportunity for the youngsters to interact with their senior leadership of L&T, they can also get acquainted with the strategies and also with the core values of the organisation.
Despite the challenges that were there because of the pandemic, the company had kept its commitment and have also completed over three-week virtual induction process. This was conducted for all the freshly hired graduates and post-graduates of 2020 batch through the terms of digital and remote mode in the month of August 2020.
