Anthony Fauci who is one of the top US government scientist warned on 27th December, Sunday that the pandemic is not gone and the worst days are still not over. He further said that the worst of the pandemic is yet to come, taking the country to a critical point than that of before, and this is because the holiday travel that have started increasing and also increasing the spread of the coronavirus.
The infectious disease specialist said that he shares the concern of Joe Biden who is the new President-elect. That as they get into the next few weeks, it might actually start get worse than before.
Biden also gave a sign and alert on Wednesday during this week, he said that the darkest days of the nation are not behind it but they are ahead of it.
He is a person who has been encouraging everyone out from the country who are eligible to be vaccinated. He revealed and said that he felt fine after he received the first shot and he also said that he experienced nothing like serious at all.
Jerome Adams who is the Surgeon General added saying that like Fauci, he is also very concerned about a post-holiday wave that will be caused because of the increasing travel during this holidays.
The US holiday travel this year was down to a great extend on the festive season but it had also remained significant.
According to the Transportation Security Agency, the Air travel has got an average of more than one million passengers a day. This kept on having the same numbers for six consecutive days in the last week.
Following the Thanksgiving holidays in the last month, US coronavirus cases moved suddenly in the month of December. It got more than around 200,000 new cases and there was a time when it got more than 3,000 deaths daily.
But with new vaccines that are now given and are moving across the country, and the first shots that are first going to front-line health workers and also to those who are in long-term care facilities , all the Americans aer now finally seeing a shine of hope.

He said that he was a lot confident that by the month of April all the higher-priority people would have been given the shorts of the vaccine and have been vaccinated. This will be also clearing and making the way for the vaccine to be given to the general population.
