Sachin Tendulkar voted ‘Greatest Men’s Test Batsman’ of 21st century

Sachin Tendulkar famous for being voted as the greatest male striker of the 21st century Test by a team of analysts and fans of Star Sports, praising former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara, who gave Master Blaster a fight. Tendulkar, the former captain of India, started playing the Test at the age of 16 against Pakistan. At 17 years and 107 days, Tendulkar hit his 100th birthday, making him the youngest cricket player to sign for India’s Test ton, a long standing record. From there, Tendulkar would be on his way to the monarchy, spending centuries in the difficult conditions of South Africa and Australia, when the world recognized him.

In 2002, in the middle of his career, Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack recorded Tendulkar as the second highest scorer in the Test of all time, behind Don Bradman, and the second largest ODI batsman behind Viv Richards. He also won the 2010 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy of the game cricket at the ICC awards.

Tendulkar is the recipient of all sports awards in India, including the Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna – India’s highest honor of sports – iPadma Bhushan, iPadma Vibhushan and the largest – Bharat Ratna.
