After a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime minister Narendra Modi, the Union Government on Wednesday announced that the Indian railways will now have to be equipped with 4G mobile spectrum for communication, and also thus replacing the existing 2G and decrease more than that of the communication channels. He also added that the government is going to improve the automatic train protection mechanism in India, assign them to a train collision prevention system, in order to ensure the safety of passengers.

And he said, adding that the total expected cost of this project is around Rs 25,000 crore.

Along with this, with reference being made to the system in order to subsidize the companies that produce fertilizers, Javadekar said that the government has decided to increase the production of urea in the country also in large quantities, which would have been imported.

A Telangana-based fertilizer company named Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, has taken advantage of the scheme, which ceased to exist in 2019. Javadekar said the company is expected to produce in excess of a total of 1 200 000 tons of urea every year. “This is a further step towards the Aatmanirbhar Bharat, as this will reduce the burden on urea imports,” he said, adding that the government wants to create more of these kinds of installations, the use of more reimbursement
