Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account was recently permanently suspended for “repeated Twitter violations”. This was after the Manikarnika actress posted several videos and tweets promoting “hateful and abusive behavior” and defamed the site’s microblogging behaviour. In tweets, Kangana had shared her grief over the post-poll violence in West Bengal after the TMC defeated the BJP. She had also asked Prime Minister Modi to ‘tame’ Mamata Banerjee with his ‘virat roop’.
A Twitter spokesman clarified in a statement said that they have made it clear that they will take strict disciplinary action against conduct that could lead to offline harm. The account shown has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of the Twitter’s rules, especially for their Hateful Practices. They also said that they may not engage in harassment, or encourage other people to do so. They also regard the abusive behaviour as an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence another person’s voice.
And after Twitter, fashion designers Anand Bhushan and Rimzim Dadu have also decided to sever all ties with the Queen’s character due to recent events. In a statement which was shared on Twitter, Bushan wrote that due to some events today, they have decided to remove all images of Kangana Ranaut’s collaboration on their social media channels. They also promise that they will never associate with him in any position in the future. As a product he said that he do not support hate speech.
Rimzin Dadu’s statement which was shared on Instagram had a picture of the designer and an actor of Tanu Weds Manu which read, “Never late to do the right thing. We remove all that we have in common with Kangana Ranaut on our social channels and promise that we will not associate with her in the future. ”
Veere Di Wedding actress Swara Bhasker applauded the designers for their bold movement and shared it on Twitter, She told them that they are so surprised to see this! Kudos to them @AnandBhushan & #RimzimDadu for calling hate speech and promoting genocide in a positive way!
Responding to the suspension, Kangana Ranaut told that the Twitter has presented her testimony that they are Americans and by birth, a white man feels entitled to enslave a black person, they want to tell you what to think, say or do. She said that she have a lot of platforms that she can use to raise her voice, including her cinematic art. But she sympathize with the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved, and tortured for thousands of years, and still do not suffer.
